I'm proud to be an outsider artist who is a self-taught mosaic and mixed-media artist. I began making art as retirement started approaching and while I have not received formal artistic training, I continually enhance my skills through hands- on experiences, experimentation, independent study and workshops. My unique pieces reflect a lifetime of experiences, interests, and passions. I create my designs from a deeply intuitive and calm space which helps me make sense of the world. Combining traditional mosaic techniques with found and recycled objects, I transform everyday materials such as vintage pans, boat oars, ceramics, beads, shells and other reclaimed items into expressive works of art.  Learning is a lifelong process and I continue to seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and refine my craft.
